I commend you on your interest in the nursing profession. In survey after survey, the nation's registered nurses are held in high esteem by the public, our patients and our colleagues in healthcare. We face the most devastating shortage of registered nurses in the history of our country and by all projections we will endure this shortage for many years. This offers an opportunity to those with the talent, commitment and intelligence to invest in a life long career of caring. I challenge you to consider a career that will span a wide range of practice settings, provide a healthy income and stretch you beyond your greatest expectations and desires!
